I did WAY too much research into getting the accuracy of an actual Foxfield Railway train cabin interior, looking at photos on Trip Advisor and some lady's Instagram (that one helped immensely) Down to searching for the actual brand of clotted cream, jam, and butter they serve on their afternoon tea train based on blurry photos and YouTube videos I could find (which is Rodda's and Lichfields, by the way) Ahhhhh, the things I do for dreamy fox mascot men 😩

"Ah, that bad, huh? I'm sorry, Artie.
Well, think of it as a meaningful way to reconnect with the town.
It's been about seven years since you left. You've got new places to see, new faces to meet."

"I’ve played many roles in my time on this earth: brother to an ungrateful sister, son to a disappointed father, the funny Oriental errand boy to people I owe, and now, a member of this weird club. Tomorrow? Who knows?
Hmph. Asking me to just ‘be Jack’? Which one?"
This is a pretty uncommon joke in the animal world, they tend to be able to see their snoots much better than humans can.
(This felt like one of those moments where I found a joke only I could do, lol)

Cookin!
Graphite drawing on paper, 6x8 inches. A fancily dressed raccoon stands in the shade of an oak tree with a worried look upon his face. He's wearing a waistcoat with a watch fob chain drooping from his second button to his left pocket, black arm garters keep his sleeves in place and a shiny black silk cravat around his neck is tied into a large bow. He grips his matching suit jacket with anxious paws while his ringed tail swoops behind him. Right next to the raccoon is a wooden post with a line of rope going through it and above are leafed branches giving him shade. In the background looms a large tree which stands in front of a train station, the top of its angled roof is peeking out from behind the large leafy crown on the left. There is one lone train car to the left and a disconnected old-fashioned train engine to the right. The background is all shaded lightly in contrast with the much darker shaded foreground.
Dress-Code Distress 💧🦝
They all told him to come wearing his fanciest clothes, so he went out and bought a new bow to look his very best. It was only after arriving at the party that he realized what exactly had happened...
Maybe he can hide behind a tree before anyone sees him and laughs. 🌳🌳
Messing around in boats
a beaver, porcupine and a badger(?) are using computers at desk in a classroom. a raccoon is up the front, dressed neatly, holding a book, teaching the class. the beaver and badger look like they have games on their screens. the badger has stuck a 'flunk me' note on the porcupine's back. the beaver is throwing a paper plane. a rat is in the front corner of the classroom, sitting on a stool, facing the wall, taking a time out.

I drew this with back pain for extra authenticity.
Wow, rare mailmink doing his dang job and not being a complete slut! Maystelid is saved???
Mailmink on his daily route
How can I help you???
Graphite drawing on paper, 8x10 inches Expecting another standard delivery, a raccoon mailman opens a mailbox and -- to his surprise -- finds that a rat has made it into his cozy little home. The rat, dressed in a tiny waistcoat, reaches out with a smile and miniscule clawed hands to accept the delivery; a bundle of packages and wooden spool tied carefully together with a length of string and decorated with a bow. To the side, and through a frosted window built into the mailbox's address plate, two other rats can be seen inside telling stories and eating cheese together. The landscape is cold and snowy with bare trees lining the horizon. The mailbox is mounted on a wooden base with a stack of firewood, half buried in snow, resting on it. A rope ladder built with cut pencils leads down the side. Sticking out the top of the box, and emerging from a layer of snow, is a smoking furnace pipe, showing how the rats are staying warm in such a cold environment. The interior is neatly decorated, having such things as: draped garland, mouse themed wall hooks, a thimble flower pot, hanging herbs, framed pictures, and a rug bolted to the opening side of the box so it stays in place when it's upright and closed. Well done little rats. Lastly, our surprised postal worker is dressed in a black brimmed Pinecone Postal Service cap (with acorn pin on the side), a small black bowtie, and a long, striped scarf that's draped over his coat. A round patch on his shoulder has a design of a letter stylized to look like a fox and a tree with branches going up to an arc of four stars. You're dressed nice, but you really should have noticed the smoke coming out of the mailbox, Mr. Raccoon. Come on now.
