Nice morning at the Morfa Madryn reserve, the Green-winged Teal showed well though never close, amazing amount of wildfowl and waders on the rising tide, plenty of Goldcrest and Chiffchaff at the sewage works but the Firecrest did not put in an appearance for us #rarebirds #wales #birds #nikon
Perhaps the easiest place to see the species right now is Texel: Spectacled Eider 🤩🤩🤩
Day out around North Wales yesterday produced a good haul of year ticks - Slavonian Grebe, Black Guillemot, Chough, Merlin, Long-tailed Duck, Purple Sand, Brents all on Anglesey, whilst Hawfinches and Red Kites were seen in the Conwy Valley #birds #nikon
Finally got the Grey-headed Lapwing, appears to have flown off a few minutes later #birds
The magnificent dead trees of Namibia's Deadvlei are silhouetted against a neighbouring red dune, towering more than 300 m/1000ft above. A surreal, uniquely beautiful scene, so typical of Namibia!
