Trump/RFK are decapitating our public health system, a pillar of American greatness. So Dem Govs should scour every corner of the law for creative new ways to defend their people from this madness.

Dems should polarize this debate to the max.

Thoughts on this here:

We’re only a few years removed from creatjng a vaccine to protect against a deadly airborne virus in a matter of months. Now, we have a scion fail son running the CDC into the ground not because it failed, but because its success conflicts with RFK Jr’s eugenicist ideology.

Nixon literally called for a right-leaning news source after watergate to counter the (absolutely true and accurate) news that ultimately did him in. But only because many congressional Republicans couldn’t ignore what had happened. Now they can ignore anything.

The Grand Opening of an American Concentration Camp The Republicans are proudly calling it “Alligator Alcatraz.” Let’s call it what it is.

I wrote about the day the president attended the opening of an American concentration camp:

Article 1, Section 9, Clause 8 really could not be clearer.

"...no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince or foreign State."

It is important to recognize that a president who takes bribes and a Congress that lets that slide was itself a Constitutional crisis.

Banning bribery was so important, the Founders had the Constitution forbid it three times, including as the only directly named impeachable offense besides treason.

I have nothing to add to your discussion, but wanted to point out that “hard right Pope” is a funny phrase. Or good name for a band?

If Bruce is right and we had to lose sometime, then I’ll guess we’ll see if this learning experience gets us a W this Saturday.
