Who else is reading ancient Roman sources at 5am on a Saturday morning 😅

Great! I will dm you about it later tonight when I’m home :) I’m very glad and excited
Thanks
I’m also on an impromptu gap year before I start university again so I’ve got plenty of time but I want to make the most out of it.
If anyone would be interested, or could direct me to a reading group please let me know. 🙂
This might be a tad ambitious but I’m looking for someone who would like to read the entire History of Middle-Earth series alongside me. We could discuss each book as we go?
I took a 1-2 year break away from Tolkien and want to familiarise myself with the texts again. 1/2
After a few months of travelling and working on myself I am back on social media 🙂
What is the best translation of the Mabinogion?
I would feel bad eating it
The book has arrived! I’m going to start reading it in a few weeks when I have time 🙂
It’s now 5am but thankfully I don’t have to be up for another 5 hours
Good idea but I wouldn’t be able to make more tea 🫖🥲
Beautiful poem, I read it last week and it stuck with me.
I started the Lotr again tonight and it was a dear mistake to not wait until the morning 😂
Lesson learned: don’t begin the Lord of the Rings again after midnight or you’ll never get to bed 😂
Thanks 🙏
So I can get it next time I go to 🇿🇦?

Tonight’s reading!

I’ve genuinely listened to this song at least 2000 times. The Fall of Gondolin is my favourite Tolkien tale and Blind Guardian encapsulate Maeglin’s torment so well
850?!? Do you think it’s worth that much?
I just read the part where Beleg is slain. It makes me emotional every time 😢
Reading the Silmarillion once again. Such a tragic tale this one is
I’m looking so forward to the weekend! Can’t wait for the Christopher Tolkien Centenary Conference! And on top of that I’m attending a book talk on Saturday too :)
I hope so 🤞
Special thanks goes out to @timbolton.bsky.social for working so tirelessly to help make the community a better and safer place for us Tolkien fans.
I can safely say that Tolkien has been a major influence on my life, just as he has been for countless others. As a younger member of the community I will ensure that his memory lives on into the future 🙂
I also enjoy book collecting, particularly Tolkien books! Thanks to the advice from stalwart figures in the Tolkien community I have built up a book collection numbering a few hundred books, many of them being Tolkien, Tolkien scholarship and works of literature that inspired Tolkien himself
Tolkien was the foundation for my love of literature, poetry, history, art, nature and just about anything else in my life. I am currently studying Ancient & Medieval History at the University of Edinburgh and hope to produce Tolkien scholarship someday in the future. 🤞
My name is Harry and I am 19 years old. Tolkien is my number one passion in the world. I had devoured every single Middle-Earth related text by the age of 15 and over the past 4 years I have been diving deeper into Tolkien’s other works and his life.
