bitw, Minnie Driver doing the 'you can't come in' part in Grosse Pointe Blank is so sick.
i hope the self titled Specials album still hits hard for losers in middle school.
Ypsi punx are like a whole different breed. i love it.
just made myself LOL ๐
the recently updated wheelchair on Michigan license plates makes them look like they're going fast.
i love when i put on a new record and then immediately win my next game of computer solitaire. thank you Maybe I'll Catch Fire. ๐๐ฅ
i listened to their first record today ๐ฅฑ guess i'll listen to 2 more next week ๐ก
whenever everyone starts talking about D4 (which is at least once a year) i wonder if there was a third song of theirs i liked, or just the 2 i can remember. but i really don't want to revisit them, or text my ex who MIGHT remember. it's a conundrum.๐คทโโ๏ธ
i've only gone to 3 shows in the last year, 6 in the last 4 years, but in 13 days i'm going to attempt 3 in 3 days. i feel that if i manage to pull it off it'll be a major breakthrough and MAYBE i'll actually start hanging out with people again. #iguessthisisgrowingup
YOOOO!!! i have been CRACKING myself up the last 5 or 6 minutes. i'm hilarious. ๐
3.5 years ago a seller listed a test press of an okay No Idea LP for $40. noticed this morning that the price has come down to $20, so i made an offer for $18. talk about a slowburn...WILL THEY ACCEPT?!?!
i swear every time i'm listening to Here In The Pitch by Jessica Pratt i'm waiting in some long line in public, and it's so perfect in that situation.
the "You Keep Me Hanging On" cover by Index gets me every fucking time. so laid back. it's exactly like smoking opium.
30 years later and "What I Learned" by Slapstick still goes hard as fuck.
I love watching you play music.
me talking to Alice (the dog i'm sitting for)... "how do you feel about ska?"
i bought Reese Oreo's last week, so i can only buy 3 more.
the Big Ed / Norma / Otis Redding scene has me crying again. when her hand comes into the frame and touches his shoulder ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
i REALLY should've pitched that biopic of the Ramones (played by Ken Marino / Michael Showalter / Michael Ian Black / Thomas Lennon) in the studio recording Brain Drain when i originally had the idea 23 years ago. everyone's too old now.
shout-out to The Donnas "Early Singles 1995-1999" LP. every time i play you i fall in love. ๐ฅฐ
The Wire s4 theme is by far the best.
i hope when i post the pic of it on VLV someone is like 'fuck you, that was in my cart'. ๐
10 days until my bday and i just pulled the trigger on a certified bonzer. probably gonna take a record break for a bit and just go to town on my collection. music is so fucking amazing.
for real. i still listen to my Puking And Crying LP so much. i had a white copy for years that sounded like shit, recently upgraded to a silver copy which sounds better for whatever reason. i swear white vinyl from the last 20 years sounds horrible.
they all go for stupid money now. i got this for $100 PPD from Canada, which i consider cheap.
๐
it is now out for delivery. today is the day. i've yet to be burned by someone with zero feedback and actually love giving them that first glowing review. ๐ค
can they just take Rat Paws off the Moondog gig and Golomb off the Third Man gig and have them play Outer Limits at 5 PM? i'd pay $100 to see that.
