So Rowling writes Harry Potter, quotes Mein Kampf, and now somehow all her fans are complicit? That’s some impressive mental gymnastics.

Art takes on its own life once it’s out in the world. People can connect to it for reasons that have nothing to do with the creator. That’s not “putting enjoyment over lives”, it’s refusing to let one person’s toxicity own every good memory attached to it.

I’m not out here buying new merch or building Hogwarts in my backyard. Watching something that’s already out doesn’t suddenly turn me into her accountant. Not every rewatch is a moral transaction.

Wow, that’s a wild jump. Reading Harry Potter isn’t exactly leafing through Mein Kampf. One’s a fantasy story about friendship and courage, the other’s… well, literal genocide propaganda. Let’s keep some perspective.
