so all of this is to say
1. i would love to work with people who are interested in eastern european folk art.
2. i don’t know how text posts work, but if you wanna chat art development, sketching, or folk art please do so!

right, so that beings us to now! im switching stuff up and want to focus more on stealing from romanian folk artists, glass icon painters, and textile artists. why? because its imagery thats been around me my whole life and i want to interact with it.

also it cost too much to continue using an ai in my workflow when i am not raking it in via tattooing.

obviously somewhat insane to just give my art to an ai company but i have never really been protective of my work or cared about it being stolen. (maybe one day ill post rips of my tattoo designs, i get a kick from seeing those)

but that experiment ended. it resulted in some interesting drawings.

last year i wanted to try something different, so i incorporated ai image generation into my workflow. basically i just fed an ai my drawings and had it make variants then i would redraw those thumbnails, feed em back in, etc

in the last two or three years, my tattooing has caught up to my drawing (ish?) the books got to be a lot less constrained by what i can tattoo and a lot more indicative of what imagery was capturing my attention.

it’s been largely dark fantasy, cartoony metal, 90s vibes.

here’s a bit of a longer rambling sort of post: for the last eight years i’ve been collecting my drawings in sketchbooks. around that same time i started tattooing. my earliest books are a pretty direct reflection of limitations on my tattooing ability. #sketchbook #art #tattooing
