The fact that the US Supreme Court can be defined as Dem or Rep says it all. A true democracy must have true separation of powers. The highest court must have no political allegiance or identifiable leaning.

I think this is a narcissistic trait - the inability to foresee the consequences of one’s behaviour. Narcissists run on instinct and short-term self-interest. They cannot understand nor imagine how others perceive them negatively. The future is too far to grasp when their ego lives in the now.
