I used to wonder what it felt like to be a scientist sounding the alarm on:

tobacco
AIDS

Now we’re living it.

Turns out the barrier isn’t evidence.

It’s denial.

Recent analysis by several Variant Hunters has confirmed that BA.3.2.* is preferentially infecting children.

For example, here’s a comparison of recent samples from New York. For children, BA.3.2.* is 11% of samples, vs just 1.4% of adults, so around 8X more common.

This is a great example of how Fox manipulates it's viewers. Because they trust only Fox, the Fox audience is completely vulnerable to manipulation by Fox. How could they know that what they're seeing with their own eyes isn't real? They couldn't. They're seeing it happen, it's right there!

The more you know ...

The Earth has gained the equivalent of about 5.7 *billion* Hiroshima bombs worth of planetary heating since January, 2000.

About 89% of that heat went into heating the oceans. The rest to melt ice and snow, heat land and heat the atmosphere.

Important to understand first: When your body is exposed to certain germs that can cause diseases, your immune system builds a “memory” of them, so if you’re exposed to these germs again, your immune system recognizes them and knows how to fight them off. Your immune system also builds this memory when you get vaccinated, so you don’t have to get sick in order to protect yourself from future infections.

text says "Important to understand first: Immune amnesia means something has caused your body to lose, or “forget,” its memory of germs you’ve been exposed to before, meaning you’re more likely to get sick and to experience severe illness if you’re exposed to it again. Measles can cause your immune system to forget up to 73% of its memory. In other words, after having measles, you will be immune to measles, but may be at increased
risk of other serious illnesses. Did you know? Measles is not the only virus that can harm your immune system. COVID-19 has also been found to cause long-term harm to your body’s ability to fight off illnesses, making you more likely to get sick and experience severe illness.”

Unfortunately, there’s no way to predict whose immune system will be most harmed by being sick. It can happen to anyone! The best way to avoid immune amnesia is to get vaccinated & take other steps to avoid getting sick So please remember, it is not a good idea to expose
yourself to these viruses on purpose in order to build
immunity! That is what vaccines are for. Getting sick makes you much more likely to hurt your immune system! Graphics of a vaccine, a mask, and an air purifier and open window symbolizing clean air

Helsinki just went a full year without a single traffic death The capital city is Finnish’ed with car-related fatalities.

“Helsinki hasn’t registered a single traffic-related fatality in the past year…Citing data that shows the risk of pedestrian fatality is cut in half by reducing a car’s speed from 40 to 30km/hr, city officials imposed the lower limit in most of Helsinki’s residential areas and city center in 2021.”

Introduced in 2018 and expanded to all roads by 2020, Bilbao was the first European city of more than 300,000 inhabitants to adopt a universal 30 km/h speed limit. Several years on, the results suggest it has delivered broad benefits on safety, public health, travel efficiency, and quality of life.🧵

RFK Jr. May Eliminate the USPSTF, Original Task Force Members Warn

Every single step that the anti-science, anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist RFK Jr takes to dismantle the US medical, public health, & health research systems is incredibly painful & distressing

This one would hit so hard

Without the USPSTF, evidence-based screening & prevention would crumble 😢

‘A real tragedy’: Woman dies after being denied health care because she was pregnant A pregnant woman who was not seeking an abortion, was denied health care for her heart condition because she was pregnant and doctors did not want to risk harming the pregnancy. She died as a result. Her name was Ciji Graham and Pro Publica journalist Lizzie Presser reported on her story. “I think one of the things that's really disturbing in her medical records is that neither of the cardiologists that Graham saw spoke to her about her pregnancy and the risks of continuing it without getting the heart care that she needed,” she said. “And that silence around pregnancy, and its risks, that's being normalized by these bans is deeply, deeply concerning.” Georgetown law professor Michele Goodwin emphasizes that this is one of many tragedies that have taken place as a result of abortion bans. “We have these reproductive health care deserts throughout the United States, and we see the kind of suffering that's being reported, and then so much more that doesn't end up getting reported, that just simply gets lost in the mix of things,” she said. “And that's the real tragedy.”
