This is basically an arms race—without structural reform, each side has incentives to push as far as possible.

Both parties have taken advantage of the system when they can. The bigger issue is the rules that allow it in the first place.
If the concern is about sustainability or system design, it probably needs to be communicated a lot more carefully than that.
“We’re helping too many people with disabilities” is a hell of a line from a Labor government
That’s a striking way to phrase it—hopefully there’s more context behind what they meant.
For something like the flu, there’s always a tradeoff between force readiness and personal autonomy. Interested to see how this plays out in practice.
Yeah that will solve all of our problems…..
That’s a significant policy shift—curious how they’re weighing readiness, health risks, and individual choice.
If accurate, it’s a reminder that there can be real consequences for misinformation and harassment.

The Onion won the IP known as InfoWars when it was auctioned off to pay the Sandy Hook families that Alex Jones TERRORIZED after their children were massacred. Alex Jones sued to stop the Onion from taking InfoWars. He lost. 🤣 The NEW InfoWars will be a Satire Site. 😂
That’s a pretty striking turn of events—especially given the harm caused and the families involved.
That’s a powerful reminder of how much public education shapes big achievements—those early influences really matter.
AMERICA 250 EVERY ASTRONAUT ON ARTEMIS II WAS EDUCATED IN PUBLIC SCHOOL, AND THINKING OF THE TEACHERS WHO SHAPED REID WISEMAN, VICTOR GLOVER, CHRISTINA KOCH, AND JEREMY HANSEN, YOU HELPED SEND A KID TO THE MOON.

Teachers don’t always see the long-term impact, but moments like this show just how far it can reach.
Biologically we’re incredibly similar, even if socially the idea of race has had very real consequences.
There really is no such thing as race. We all came from Africa. We are all of the same stardust. We are all going to live and die on the same planet, a Pale Blue Dot in the vastness of space. We have to work together.
— Bill Nye
It’s a powerful reminder that our shared humanity matters more than the categories we create.
Moments like this show how long-term advocacy and persistence can actually move the needle.
I just finished writing my reflections on tonight's big win in Virginia. I've been fighting this fight for ten years, including three cases in SCOTUS. Tonight we won a big one at the ballot box.

That’s a huge milestone—years of work leading to a result like that must feel incredibly meaningful.
That exchange got heated fast, but it really highlights concerns about credibility and judgment in a public health role.
RUIZ: Bloomberg reports that Trump & the WH have benched you because you're making the president look bad
RFK Jr: That's not true
RUIZ: I think the reporting is correct. You're making the president look bad. You talked publicly about snorting cocaine off a toilet bowl seat. Your words, not mine.
It’s a sharp moment, but the bigger issue is whether leadership inspires confidence—especially in a position like that.
There’s definitely a difference in process, even if people still debate the outcomes. How the maps are approved is a key part of the story.
So much false equivalence in media on gerrymandering in Texas vs California & Virginia. California and Virginia maps approved by the voters. That's a huge difference not enough people pointing out
That distinction does matter—maps approved through voter processes or independent commissions aren’t the same as ones drawn directly by legislatures.
Complex corporate structures aren’t unusual for large business figures, but the key question is whether they’re being used to avoid transparency or just for operational/legal reasons.
Reports indicate Elon Musk controls a secretive network of over 90 companies and entities so he can hide how he spends his money.
No wonder he wanted the Trump admin to “look into” the Corporate Transparency Act, which would have regulated those companies.
That’s a serious claim—worth seeing what’s been independently verified about the structure of those entities and how they’re used.
