Folks really didn’t like it last year when I said this was a (remote but still very real) possibility that we needed to consider in re: January 2027:

One of the most frequent causes of Charlie Kirk related cancellation was accurately representing his views, or even quoting them verbatim.
She expressed grief about Kirk's murder, and the only hateful thing in the comments came from Kirk himself.

This scene & the crashouts on X over passage of Virginia’s redistricting plan are, it warrants noting, the same picture.

It’s like a grand unified theory on how MAGA approaches matters, here and abroad: “you mean our _lessers_ can respond when we act like assholes to them? That can’t be right.”

Tesla launches Robotaxi service in Houston suburbs Tesla's suburban rollout is a different approach from other autonomous ride-hailing companies.

Tesla claims it has expanded its robotaxi service to Dallas and Houston; a crowdsourced tracking site says that there are a total of 2 Tesal robotaxis in each city

Other reporting indicates "unsupervised" Austin fleet is 4-8 vehicles, all have human monitors

Kevin Warsh wants to ditch core PCE. His preferred measure, trimmed mean PCE, just happens to look the 'best' against the Fed target, now at 2.3%

Cherry-picking will land you in trouble at some point tho - trimmed PCE was v slow to see the 2021-22 inflation surge 👇

So the Justice Department admits in its own filings that the following groups are extremist groups. Can someone ask Patel and Blanche how aggressively DOJ/FBI are monitoring them, considering how dangerous they are? Are they screening gov employees for affiliations with these groups?

The exciting thing about the prospect of a Labour leadership election is what a rich battle of ideas it will be.

A brave governing agenda is bound to emerge given how effervescent with ideas the centre-left is. So much better than being dominated by the relentless grind of content light factions.*

At the moment it seems like the leadership are trying to have it both ways. To the Brexit leading audience they focus on the fact that the red lines are red, and their immigration and asylum policies. To the Rejoiners they fantasise about undoing a lot of the Brexit damage with closer ties.

As the PM’s fate lay in doubt, Labour MPs plotted the party’s future direction Former ministers rounded on government’s fiscal rules and called for new policies on tax and the economy

This makes no sense at all:

"While the dominance of the fiscal rules left them tied to pledges not to raise income tax or national insurance."

Nothing in the fiscal rules stops the government from putting up taxes!
