As far as I’m concerned, the strongest person the world has ever seen just left us. Mom fought through so much in the past two years. Exploding intestines, colon cancer, sepsis, a broken leg, and losing dad. Today the cancer was finally too much. Now she can rest. I love you Mom. Always.

Had the realization that tonight’s Dynamite will most likely be the last wrestling show I’m ever able to watch with my mom before she’s gone. That made this all feel so much more real. I’m just barely holding it together right now.

I don’t know if Audition is the best entry point to Miike. I’d recommend his Blade of the Immortal adaptation for that. Plus it’s fun that if the boy likes it you can tell him that this was Miike’s 100th movie.
