If I had been a Labour Party with a majority of 174 & years of governing ahead of me, I would simply have told racists to do one & set about making the country fairer, freer, more solidaristic, & more welcoming. Somehow, this possibility seems to have escaped the current government. I don't get it.

Student loan scandal
If it was kept at the same amount you borrowed, in real terms, that would make sense. But the fact they’re using RPI, which is something they refuse to use for pay rises, and then adding 3% on top of that, that’s just incredible

A1 One of the best things I have done is a pre course "survey" asking students to share a bit and their challenges. I model it by posting a video about me. Great connections which I try to continue by remembering bits about them. Showing you are interested about what's going on for them.

£99987 and counting: graduates trapped by student loans.
Govt froze repayment threshold. By 2030, be at minimum wage.
At the margin grads pay 20% inc tax + 8%NIC +9% repayment. Insane.
Loan increases, if not repaid.
Grads can't buy home, start family/business.
Abolish Uni fees. Write-off debt.
