I am SO glad you could get this started in your life. I have many people in my own family that suffer with it but are so staggered by the issues it causes that they will never prioritize caring for themselves before something else throws them off track.

It really is crazy thinking about how much of my life wouldn't have been nearly as stressful if I had been officially diagnosed when I was in one of the most foundationally disruptive parts of my life (my entire childhood). There was the notion of attention meds being a bad thing for kids back then.

That's an extremely scary thing for someone who has a very sensitive sense of smell.

I'm worried about the implication that that's a real thing.

Twitter has been mass-banning people without any explanation. Some have said that it is getting rid of "bot" accounts, but it's affecting people who have had active accounts for many years.

Part of me is still miffed that they pitied themselves so much that they still try to make it seem like their "new interests" are innocent in origin when they'd been willing to harm others to keep it hidden for years. But of course, the sub-community around them will never know that.

Years later I'd hear about how the main people that turned the group against me imploded and revealed they were into much "worse" things than I ever was, now publicly, on top of some of them constantly harassing others in private for being different as a way of distracting from their insecurities.

I've been ostracized from a friend group for *trying* a kink motivated by someone new I met that made it more interesting, which I kept separate from that group completely only for it to be used as blackmail against me by someone close to them that found it out of their own hidden interest later.
