One thing I can’t explain to my non-crew friends is how full of art my life is, every single day. Here’s a perfect example. Unbelievably beautiful and meaningful to us. Stories get written and read aloud. The auction spread art all around the world. We’re less alone. In the words of DJ, I love us.

See but that’s what I love about teachers. If we’re lucky we land with the kids that make most sense to us. And can’t imagine doing what our friends do. I spent 18 of my many years of teaching in a mixed 2/3 and those goof balls are perfect for my temperament.

Yeah I always wondered about folks who landed teaching bigger kids because for most people I knew it was a rough time. I was once told by an 8th grader who actually liked me very much to stick to littler kids because I was way too cheerful and optimistic, and they’d eat me alive🙄🤭

I once heard that teachers gravitate to an age group when they were really enjoying life. It fits for me so I’m always curious about other teachers. I just like kids way more than most grownups.

I love these more than I could ever imagined. I’m having so much fun watching all these teeny versions of them.
