It’s 6:30pm and would be awesome to know if schools in Los Angeles are going to be open tomorrow…

I want this camera so bad.

There is an enormous creative community (artists/designers/curators/etc) on Threads as a result of the Instagram integration and as an artist, nothing else is really close yet.

That was fucking art.

It’s so amazing to watch something that’s both real and not terrible.

I love how Coachella weekend is a holiday for everyone in Los Angeles who doesn’t go. Blessings to all who celebrate.

The Biden administration had four years to begin to stabilize & properly fund the post office. It did nothing. For a long time Republicans have wanted to kill it. They're slowly & steadily succeeding.

Father of two school aged kids and this is a very accurate take.

Bam was a hindrance to a lot of Zulu Nation functions & celebrations. For instance, this is the 45th anniversary of the Jazzy 5’s “Jazzy Sensation” off Tommy Boy but since Bambaataa’s name is on it, he put a black cloud over other things like “Planet Rock” even though he didn’t produce or rap on it

Same. I hope that a more organic experience emerges on the community level but we’ll see.

It’s just, as a whole, a very “un” L.A. thing so far. And that’s a shame.

My dad took me to the 84 Olympics. It’s a core memory. I do ok and the tickets prices are WAY out of reach. And I’ve been documenting Los Angeles as a photographer and artist my whole life so the design campaign just feels inauthentic.

Everything from the design language to the ticket prices confirms that no aspect of the LA28 Olympics is actually for the residents of Los Angeles.

Next purchase for the family is definitely an EV.

You definitely made a good choice. I went with a hybrid (which I do love) two years ago because of charging availability but wanted an EV. I definitely save a ton on gas but it’s still HELLA expensive right now.

Been in the lab, creatively. Booked an exhibition coming up this July (details to come). Making work to stay sane.

I’m not sure why I would want to train Adobe Firefly to generate images in my style when I could, you know, just keep making work in my style.

This timeline feels like a psyop

100% this. The many African twitters didn't move to Bluesky (or anywhere else). They're still in that sleazy Nazi bar. I miss them, but will never rejoin them.

Also Senegal was stabbed in the back.
