I want to stop feeling bad about not doing things the same way as other cartoonists. I want to stop feeling like I'm doing everything wrong. I'm me and my work is mine and I can do it however I want.

I want to make comics my own way at my own pace. Even if that means I only draw a handful of pages a year. Even if that means I never publish a book. Even if that means I'll never be "successful." My new goal is to find joy in my creative process and confidence in my voice as a cartoonist!

What15,0000-year-old jewellery found in a cave tells us about prehistoric life Even when living hundreds of miles from the sea, Magdalenian people had a strong cultural connection to it

Whoa 🤯

The Moon, in full eclipse, with the #Artemis II Orion spacecraft. Part of the Moon and spacecraft are lit by Earthshine, and both Saturn and Mars are visible to the lower right. Incredible. Details: images.nasa.gov/details/art0...

I still want to make comics. I'm just trying to figure out how to do it in a way that doesn't make me want to disappear into the forest and become one with the moss.

Feeling a big kind of way about my art and what I want from it lately. I very much enjoy art as a hobby. I enjoy helping other people complete their art (inking). But I don't want to be "marketable" and I don't know if I actually want to make large projects (GNs) anymore which is kind of a big oof.

If you're looking for an inker I'd love to hear from you! I'm hoping to line something up for late summer/early fall. :)

I'm so sorry this keeps happening and the studio isn't taking good care of your hard work! 😔

Being very serious about budgeting and managing my money is my best strategy to make everything work. It's a balancing act that I've gotten very good at it over the years. Freelancing can be stressful and uncertain at times, but I wouldn't trade it for a 9-5 unless I literally had no other choice.

I'm a fulltime freelancer as a single person with a child and it's HARD, but I make it work by being very frugal and renting a very small apartment. Anyway, I'm just saying my piece to let other single creators know that it's possible! It's not easy and I make a lot of sacrifices, but I'm happy!

I was today years old when I learned that the two divots in the top of a Ramune bottle are so you can nest the marble behind it to make pouring the soda out easier. Also the bottle design was invented by a guy named Hiram Codd in the UK in the 1870s!? I want to make a zine about it.
