If you don’t mind me asking: did this happen because you installed a game a “friend” had asked you to test out? That was the premise of this scammer using your account at least.

Also one more thing is that I tricked them into clicking a tracker link to scrape data about them. Not too much info but figured I’d share. They’ve also nuked/changed the name and profile data in the past day, likely since they’ve finally been locked out by reports.

It really is a dumb system tbh to not have a faster way to recover something. And it’s funny… Discord totally knows your account is hacked and is warning people (see attached screenshot) but… doesn’t lock the person out and lets them go on trying to scam people? (This was from a few days ago.)

Heya, unless you’re able to do a “forgot password” for the account to change the token and kick the hacker out — you have to wait. There is a server with Discord admins but they don’t handle anything directly and tell people to go to dis.gd/hackedaccount and that’s that.
