I was worried the Republican deceptive messaging would pay off. All of us got a dozen mailers a week with quotes from Obama and Spanberger against gerrymandering and saying that the measure diluted minority representation.

To be clear, I’m happy with Spanberger so far! I don’t like she vetoed that defendant rights bill, but I do believe in a big tent. She is fighting Trump’s antidemocratic takeover, which is priority No. 1.

A lot of people responding to this seem to not know about Spanberger’s history of punching left.
