That is perfection. Put the rougher ones on the edges and put the craziness in the middle.

Blog Post: Poem--"Daylight Savings Swindle"
It's National Poetry Month and that means terrible poetry all month long!

I am loath to do this, but I need your help. My 20+ year marriage has unexpectedly imploded. There's a kid involved. Aside from Lupus, Autism and a shitty 2009 Mazda, I have nothing. Things are fairly desperate right now, so if you can help out now in any way at all I'd be really grateful ❤️
What do BLACK DRAGONS and THE AMAZING TRANSPLANT have in common? Every description I read of these two movies gives away the ending as if it happened in the first five minutes of the movie. (Except, oddly enough, that awesome video box description below.)
I've been a Beaudine supporter for ages. (I once pitched a book to a publisher on his filmography.) So, this is a line-up that is very exciting and I never thought I'd see. That APE MAN triple feature might just blow your mind.
Great article, Rob. I mainly knew Rima from those Super Friends appearances. Technically that's mainly how I still know her. But the GREEN MANSIONS movie sounds somewhat intriguing.
Oh no! It's Electric Boogaloo-related, isn't it?
My Aunt Helen, who I haven't seen in years, is passing through town tonight on her way to take a cruise. We were going to meet up for dinner and catch up. I just cancelled dinner. I told her that I'll be watching SNAKE ISLAND instead. She understood.
There's a lot of crazy happening everywhere right now. But I can't stop thinking this... Why does Krokus musically quote the Gentle Giant song "Peel The Paint" at about 3:33 into their song "Our Love?" Krokus fans? Do you know the answer? www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJ8X...
Episode 205 is here! And we say goodbye to Garrison's Gorillas with an in-depth discussion of Episode 26. Also, The Yellow Rose continues and Spectreman shows up again. Please, listen and enjoy. tinyurl.com/yb768nb3
Sometimes movies can get you to like them without anyone having to try too hard.
Try the mango!
Thank you! Dr. Gori's brilliance must be recognized!
I'm proud to be teamed up with my podcast partners Amanda & Nate for another commentary. This one is for... KILLDOZER! It's KILLDOZER-riffic!
STUNT ROCK = Best thing ever of any sort.
I was reading about the 4K of Tati's PLAYTIME. @criterion.bsky.social A guy took the time to leave the comment. "It's fairly amusing." I laughed. What on Earth made him leave that comment? It helps no one, adds nothing. "PLAYTIME! The amusement level is above average." "PLAYTIME! Reliably amusing."
I don't like making lists of My Favorite movies. There are too many of them and I usually end up lying. If I had to (forced at gunpoint), BREWSTER MCCLOUD would be in the Top Five. R.I.P. Bud Cort. Keep flyin', man. Say Hi to Shelly.
It's time for my Annual Guest Star visit on the Book 'em, Danno podcast with @kikiwrites.bsky.social. Give a listen because we are quite wonderful.
Coming in February!
I was familiar with the title but was never really interested in seeing it. Your description of it makes BLOODY SEX the only movie I want to watch. Right now. Immediately.
I would like to thank me for joining Rob to talk about THE BLACK SIX. In great detail!
I am back on T&TVC for another discussion of S1 Gunsmoke. We are halfway through the season... and still talking.
Hey Brian! It's a fun film. Not the best of Blaxploitation/ bikers but definitely with plenty of charms, including an odd story structure. I will get back to you with some older titles I found last year shortly.
Happy Belated Dipsmas! Had a known, I would have sent a dip. If you can wrangle me an invite, my dips and I would appreciate it. #DipVault2026
What is the salsa-related gathering? And why don't I get invited anywhere? Focus on the first question. The second is rhetorical.
Rob and I provide a commentary for Matt Cimber's THE BLACK SIX. And we are awesome. Pick up a copy today! (Or in February)
My newest REEL RETRO CINEMA column for 13thDimension is on the forgotten 1960 all-star comedy epic PEPE! 13thdimension.com/1960s-pepe-o...
On a semi-related note. film critics who review new releases no longer know how to review comedies. Both this and SPINAL TAP II got mediocre to very lukewarm reviews. For both films, I sat amidst crowds that laughed & laughed & laughed. (Note to critics: That's what comedies do. Elicit laugher.)
Just came back from seeing FACKHAM HALL at the Burbank Mall. It was hilarious. Laugh a minute. Actually, probably more than one a minute. The closest to a ZAZ film I have seen in years. (I have not yet seen the remade NAKED GUN.)
