Please don’t tax me more to force me out of the house we’ve lived in for 40 years, paid for, and can now enjoy for a few years before we die. Where would we go? I support term limits and maybe age limits, but a lot of what you suggest is age discrimination. It’s not my fault young people don’t vote.

These are cute. I hate to discard scraps, will try to cut strips or make hexis (EPP) out of them. These look like 1930s repros - so pretty!
I LOVED my Fitbit, until it was enshittified by Google 😭😭😭
OMG I am OBSESSED with the Bayeux Tapestry. So envious! Seeing it is one of only a couple things on my bucket list, but doubt I will get to the British Museum while it’s on loan there. I have a bookmark kit that I bought from BayeuxBroderie - have yet to start it. What would we do without YouTube?
You’ll get better with practice! I pick easy projects that look harder than they are 😂
Same. Never voted Republican except for one dumb, uninformed time in my 20s. We worked hard & were frugal. Bought a small house & paid it off over 30 years. Paid for our kids college. Lived within our means to save for retirement & retired at 68. Don’t blame me for this. Blame unfettered capitalism
I’m a retiree just getting by in a tiny pink house! 😮
As an old, white lady Boomer I’m so tired of the blanket Boomer statements 🙄
I worked in a bldg with the parking lot right outside my office. Once I was working late & some guy parked, peed, and left. I mentioned to the State Capitol Police when when he did his PM walk-through and thereafter, he always asked me if there had been any more public urination 😂
😮 I wouldn’t have thought of responding like that until I got home 😂
Thanks for this! I’ll give it a try!
I love this! I’ve had some Aboriginal layer cakes and a jelly roll sitting in my stash for a while now. As a beginning quilter, I might actually be able to do something like this since no triangles 😬. Thanks for the inspiration!
Beautiful! ❤️

Mitzi with a donut crumb stuck to her nose. Wonder where she got that?
When I was in grade school, we took a field trip to the Adluh Flour mill. I just looked it up and it’s still in business 60 years later! We also went to the water treatment plant 😬
That’s a cute pattern! Got my serger to sew knits since it’s so hard to fit patterns on myself using woven fabrics. I made a few garments. Need to get it out again!
What are you making? I should see if my ancient serger still runs.
That is just stunning. Love the colors.
Cover of the book “The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle” by Haruki Murakami. Features an image of a bird upside down.
I may have read this book after 2000, I can’t remember. Don’t know if the English translation was available in the 1990s.

Read “Evelina” after reading “Jane Austen’s Bookshelf.” Was having trouble getting into it until I decided to read while listening along to the audiobook, which helped. Judy Dench, Finty Williams, Geoffrey Palmer narrators; ebook on Serial Reader app (recently cancelled my Audible subscription 😬)
“…for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.” George Eliot, Middlemarch
