Well, they were founded by someone who rivals Trump for intellectual sloth. Although she's probably better at business than he is. Unfortunately, fevered Nationalism is still very much a problem everywhere, and that tends to get worse in economic hard times

Problem is, politicians as a class aren't really interested in solving problems in any meaningful way, because that might be unpopular with the loudest and richest voters, and they only ever listen to them. Both sides always seem to think the only solution to crime is "Moar cops"

I think the Big Two are going to find themselves increasingly sidelined as people get sick of mealy-mouthed status quo politicians, despite the changes to campaign financing laws that benefit just them. Especially when the rusted-ons increasingly die off and the Cookers give themselves aneurysms.

That said, it's still pretty fucked up, even if CNN didn't have pure and noble motives for publishing this outrage bait. While I can see this being used to fuel support for further online restrictive measures, both spousal rape and revenge/non-consentual porn are things that need tackling somehow.

Fully Automated Luxury Space Communism is the dream, if not the goal.

I haven't forgotten them, I can see Europe actually pulling together enough to actually end their dependence on fossil fuels, and thus Russia (which is basically a client state of China now anyway). An Australia free of U.S. and UK influence might finally get its shit together, and bin the Tories.

As long as we don't all end up with a bunch of MLM's running the show.

Guess that leaves China absorbing Russia and Canada and Mexico gradually pushing their borders out until they meet in the middle.
