Picture of the Artemis II rocket on the launch pad.

Amidst a national political environment that is often intentionally divisive and hostile, it's worth reminding ourselves that there still exist some bright spots of innovation and inspiration happening at the federal level.
Tonight, NASA looks to launch Artemis II, its first crewed mission to our moon since 1972, over half a century ago.
Growing up, my brothers and I developed a fascination with space, as well as the complex science, engineering, and perseverance required for our humble species to take our first steps towards the stars. I remember the feeling of excitement we'd get when watching news reports or television programs that included any updates about the Mars rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, and any new data or discoveries they'd managed to glean and beam back to us about our neighboring planet. I remember watching documentaries about Voyager 2 and episodes of Carl Sagan's seminal TV show, Cosmos. And, growing up in far rural Ferry County, I remember the splendor of simply looking up into the night sky to see an endless symphony of stars.
NASA has always been one of the great achievements of our nation. Let's work to keep it that way! I'm wishing Mission Control and all the astronauts aboard a smooth and successful launch!

Hey David - I'm running for congress in Eastern WA and I'm advocating for a federal agrivoltaics cost-share program specifically for small and mid-size farms. Would love to come on Volts to talk policy mechanics if that's interesting to you.

Cheers!

Had a wonderful time at this event yesterday! Great turnout from the community and some great questions.

We covered important topics from protecting rural healthcare to corruption in politics to the increasingly dire situation in Iran.

Democracy in action.

See you again soon Oroville!

These agents and their enablers in the administration must face accountability and investigations the second Congress ceases acting as Trump's Duma.

The blood of an American citizen is on the hands of the Trump Administration this evening in Minnesota. Simple as that.

Recklessly ginning up hatred of immigrants for a decade to justify occupations of American cities by untrained and trigger happy thugs was bound to end in tragedy.

Ha! I get it.

I have been working on a campaign launch video to do just that. My goal is to have that finished sometime next week and I will pin it across all my socials when I do so and make sure it gets to you too!

Great question. I can send you a DM with details about this if you'd like?

Trying to do so here is going to significantly exceed the character limit and require a big thread.

Did a kind of multi-sub, regionally focused AMA on Tuesday. For an independent campaign working to get off the ground, engagement was pretty good!

We need public campaign financing nationally, to wash out the influence of corrupt money in our politics.

It's a foundational pillar of my campaign for Congress.

Such a system finally empowers voters to compete against big money donors. It's long overdue.

Zohran's campaign is proof it can work.

Don't want to brag, but I've been rooting for @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social since early February. Nice to see Jeffries has managed to come around at long last.

A major reason I donated was because I learned about NYC's matching funds program.

Someone asked me in the Reddit AMA I did recently if I would sign the Patients Over Profits pledge. My answer is absolutely! I'm proud to do so. It's a no-brainer.

We must tackle corruption and ensure our government works for us by reducing the influence of big money in politics and increasing ethical standards for our elected officials.

It's evidence that the implementation of such policies can in fact clear the way for independent minded outsiders to succeed. No election is a given of course, but honest candidates are given a real shot.

Such a policy at the federal level would lead to immense congressional turnover in short order

Zohran's success in NYC is a testament to the power of campaign finance reform measures like public funding having a real world impact.

Whatever you think of him, it's clear he's despised by the political establishment on both sides, which should be a positive indication to normal voters.

Happy birthday to Moro! Here she is giving me maximum Moro affection after my wedding day earlier this year. Can't wait to do some backcountry ski adventures with her once the snow starts falling again.
