I am slowly restoring my parents Roberts radio. The other day I was listening to Radio Europe somewhere around 6 MHz on it.

First project to finish post-retirement will be the Pic-a-Yagi antenna. I'm hoping to test the director drive train today

Well done for getting to retirement Robin. I think I'll pass on the 6K, maybe 4K.

I am stopping work/retiring at the end of April so my work monitor has to be returned leaving me with one older, lower resolution monitor. The question is whether I should replace both monitors with a larger curved type or buy a second monitor and continue with two?

I hadn't heard of ham dash before. It looks useful, I'll try it on the larger tablet.

I've acquired two Samsung tablets that belonged to my mother. Both introduced onto the market circa 2014, no longer supported by Google Play. Any amateur radio related suggestions for use or are they only suitable for recycling?

I haven't noticed a shortage of diesel or petrol but the price has rocketed, of diesel in particular.

I thought I'd take a few minutes out from crap television and look for XX9W on 40m FT8. One call and they were in the log ๐Ÿคฃ 7056 kHz

I worked them on 15m FT8 about 9:30 this morning just as their signals started coming up

I'd like them on cw, they were too weak on 30m cw but maybe I'll be lucky on 15 or 10m over the weekend.

They have some power but nothing special in the way of antennas. www.dxfriends.com/xx9w/plans.php

Well done Phil. So did I, rx on the 40m inv-V or 80m EFHW, tx on a 5/16th vertical with two elevated radials and about 500W. ATNO for me, I also worked S21WD just before.
