The reading went well. Vintage Books in Vancouver, WA hosted it, and the format of discussing the genre and story seeds with each author, then having very short readings, was a really refreshing way to do a reading. (Great bookstore to visit in person, too.)
Thanks for the reminder. That was a damn good collection. Waldrop wrote so many perfectly faceted gems. His novella Them Bones has been driving me to write better for decades.
