The shoulder injury is interesting, but no issues with that after surgery makes me believe that's fine. The back is the only thing I'm still questioning, even if it was passed. Could it flare up again? Don't know but could also be behind him.
Is it obvious for some? Yes, but he's not the consensus top pick at 17, if available.
Why I think the #Lions should draft Francis Mauigoa:

My grade for the #Lions signing of Christian Izien is out now. His versatility brings options to the table for the team and I'm curious at where he'll line up at.

The #Lions upgraded their TE room earlier this week with the signing of Tyler Conklin. He'll be an upgrade at the position and his depth is certainly needed. My grade on the signing:

The best move the #Lions have made so far in free agency has been the addition of RB Isiah Pacheco.
My thoughts and grade on the addition:

I gave my thoughts on the Larry Borom signing for the #Lions yesterday.
Grade could change when the contract details come out, but don't expect him to be starting in Week 1.

Another day, another POD free agency profile.
Today, I look at TE Shane Zylstra to see if he could fit for the team in 2026. With the offense changing and more 13 personnel getting used, should the #Lions keep him around?

The POD free agency series moves onto linebacker Alex Anzalone. A veteran brought in to help lead and elevate the team when the roster was worse off.
Now with the team improving around him, is it time to move on or should they keep him around?

The #Lions could use some consistency at backup QB and the team might finally have that in Kyle Allen.
Why i think the team should keep him around in 2026.

One of my favorite free agent signings last year for the #Lions was Rock Ya-Sin.
He had a solid season in 2025 and I think him coming back would be a good idea for both sides in 2026.

I took a look at #Lions DT DJ Reader to figure out if he's worth bringing back in 2026.
Lots of unknowns with this one and questions we don't have clear answers about. What he values himself at I think will determine his future.

Starting off the POD Free Agency profile series with a fan favorite in Malcolm Rodriguez.
Does he deserve another deal with the team or should the #Lions move on?

True shots in the dark this year, Sami was my original pick until I learned he was in a title match already. Still possible but I don't think they'll do it.
In the season finale, the #Lions won 19-16, finishing the year 9-8.
Here are my four takeaways as the season comes to a close.

At least I finished the year with my bold prediction coming true :)

That was, EASILY, the WORST three plays this team has run this year. JUST RUN THE BALL FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.
Fuckin run the ball, what are you doing?
Hutch!
Good stop by the Lions defense there. The run defense has been struggling, but doing just enough right now.
In the final POD staff prediction for the 2025 season, it's not as one sided as I expected.
Does the majority expect the #Lions to pull off the upset?

In my final #Lions bold prediction of the year, I can see the running game return to form.
The Bears defense is struggling and I think Sonic and Knuckles can do one more big game this year.

Before you head out to enjoy New Years Eve, take a peek at what's to come on Sunday for the #Lions. These aren't the same Chicago Bears they faced in Week 2, and Detroit might get a taste of revenge after how they won back in September.

I had plenty to discuss after the #Lions frustrating 23-10 defeat on Christmas afternoon to the Vikings.
My 6 takeaways from the loss.

In today's Christmas showdown, what does the POD crew think will happen for the #Lions?
Will they bring cheer and joy, or will it be a sad ending to the 2025 postseason dreams?
www.prideofdetroit.com/nfl-picks/15...
With a banged up OL and a backup QB starting for Minnesota, I believe the #Lions pass rush will have a field day tomorrow afternoon.
Check out my bold prediction for Week 17.

Last year the #Lions and Vikings were similar in the right ways, winning games and fighting for a divisional crown.
This year both have gone in the opposite direction and are having the same struggles.
My scouting report on the Vikings:
www.prideofdetroit.com/detroit-lion...
It feels like the end of the season for Detroit. While their playoff hopes aren't gone yet, they need too much to get them in.
My 4 takeaways from the home season finale.
