On one hand I think this creative landscape is dystopian and unsustainable. On the other I don’t think savvy marketing and industry connections are mutually exclusive with making good art that resonates with a lot of people. It just sucks that so much other good art doesn’t get that chance.

The Music Thing™️ is rapidly starting to feel like an actual second job, which is fulfilling and exciting but also tiring and making negative money

all this “can’t i have a little AI generated content in my project as a treat” talk just speaks to how deathly afraid people are of failing or wasting time. that’s on the industry but it’s also on the way we engage with our online ecosystem. there is just no way to make art and ensure success
