but also the hope and creativity that a truly gifted fantasy writer brings. This amazing book releases 4/7/26, and you do not want to wait to order! Thank you so much to Falencia, to @michaellaborn.bsky.social of Left Unread, and to @binderybooks.bsky.social _book for bringing us
Two copies of the book “Devil of the Deep” by Falencia Jean-Francois sit on a bookshelf, with several sea shells.
Devil of the deep by @falenciathestoryteller has almost as much depth and layers as the ocean itself. It is on the surface a story of pirates, mermaids, and a fleet of fanatics based in Haitian mythology. Devil of the Deep is multi-layered and beautiful. It has elements of real world problems,

I think I need a bit more patience next time, but still very cute!

and a sharpie to finally label them all. It is much better than it was!
A shelf with many small pencil cases in various sizes and colors holding craft and tool supplies, they all have labels made of stickers and the contents are written in sharpie.
The perfect is the enemy of the good.
I’ve been trying to organize this shelf of tools and supplies and I was procrastinating because the containers are mismatched and I wanted to make nicely printed labels that all matched nicely. Tonight I sat down and just grabbed some random stickers
A book shelf that holds so many books it’s starting to creak. The center shelves hold both the Bindery edition and the Rainbowcrate edition of Cry Voidbringer, as well as the indie edition and the Bindery Arc for Devil of the Deep. Hanging horizontally across the shelves is the favorite of my shelf decor projects, the 3 foot war hammer from which the main character takes her name in Cry Voidbringer.

Sneaky peak of the art work included in this edition by the author.

My Left Unread shelves are filling up nicely! The @rainbowcrate.bsky.social edition of Cry, Voidbringer is GORGEOUS! I am deeply grateful to be a part of @michaellaborn.bsky.social efforts to fight the biases of the Tradpub industry and give us amazing stories from Black and Brown voices!
repurposed legs! The final additions were felt on the bottom and a pair of hook latches(because if it tips, the embroidery floss falls out and is a mess! Now all my cross stitch and embroidery supplies are nicely organized and I LOVE how the box works for me!

doomscrolling. The handle was missing, and it needed some repairs and staining, I also prefer no legs, so I started by removing them, filling holes and deep scratches, etc. after that was finished and dry, I moved onto sanding and re-staining, then making a new handle, part of which was just the

About a year back a small antique flea shop was going out of business and I saw this one in a price I could afford. It needed a bit of work, but I love fixing and diys so I bought it! This was one of those half finished projects I had gathered up and pushed myself to work on when I found myself

The hardware that held the legs was rusty and had spider webs
I have wanted one of this style of sewing boxes for a long time. I prefer not to buy new and get things by thrifting, so sometimes you have to have patience because it depends on availability, etc. and sometimes they are just priced out of my range.
a semicolon doodle made of small floral motifs in red, purple and green.
Today a lady on threads made a “joke” about semicolon tattoos. I don’t have one, because I’m Muslim, and believe it would be haram for me, but it is still an important symbol for me and many others.
This isn’t really something to joke about, and I am glad we are all still here. #semicolontattoo
dragons school. She returns for the summer to the island where her home and tribe are, only to find that the Anglish are now there as well. She believes in her people’s right to live as they have been and not be forced to accept the ways of the colonizers, so she will fight for her people.

A book titled “Mutual Aid: Building Solidarity During This Crisis (and the Next)” by author Dean Spade sits on the background of a crochet granny square blanket.
My library hold finally came in this morning, and I know this is going to be especially useful at this moment in time. Take care of your friends, neighbors, and your wider community! 💜 #booksky #MutualAid
A screen shot of the USDA website showing an alert text at the top of the page that reads “Due to the Radical Left Democrat shutdown, this government website will not be updated during the funding lapse. President Trump has made it clear he wants to keep the government open and support those who feed, fuel, and clothe the American people.” Using the mark up feature, the text has been circled and an arrow points at it with the letters WTF
This is literally one of the most ridiculously immature things I’ve ever seen on a US government website. Are there any rational adults left in our government or is it being run by toddlers that missed nap time? #GovernmentShutdown #TrumpsShutdown
An unfinished watercolor painting featuring a castle turret ruin, with vegetation to the sides and base, and blue sky above.
Watercolor work in progress, we visited Bancroft Castle recently and it is a lovely location. An excellent place for a picnic or a cosplay photo shoot, with beautiful views and interesting ruins. #BancroftCastle #Artsky #Watercolor

Flat lay arrangement of a book, a book mark, and some markers. The Book is “Deja Brew” by Celestine Martin, and features a fall theme with orange/red/yellow/browns and a cute couple looking into each other’s eyes, the book mark has a picture of plants on shelves with a resting cat underneath.
My next read is Deja Brew by Celestine Martin! I’ve got a cute bookmark to color, so I can match it to the book! #Booksky #DejaBrew #CozyReads
