Scrubbin' Trubble - a co-operative turn-based roguelike clean-em-up - is OUT NOW on Steam! Time to grab a friend and clean house!! (or just play solo that's fine too).
Grab your sponge and yellow gloves and battle through levels chock full of Nasties to take down the Four Filths of the Apocalypse!
A dark and grainy simulation of a cloud chamber

Guess what? Scrubbin' Trubble has a launch date! It's MARCH 31st!
The world's first cooperative roguelike clean-em-up is coming soon. SOON.

Vector art of many stick men, except a bunch of them are busted in various ways, like having no head or having spaghetti arms or being upside down

Steamworks UX is a joke. Confusing, scary, messy, brittle, flaky, fragmented, inconsistent, time consuming, and ugly as sin. Does Valve even have product managers?
Clever and terrifying!
Generative art made up of a Hilbert curve fractal fitting the shape of a human brain silhouette, but the right hemisphere slowly collapses into a mess of jagged lines

If you author a system that uses a PRNG, especially one for content creation, please let the user specify the seed. Kind of annoyed Bitwig doesn't have this yet. Good randomized sequences are completely luck-based and not reproducible.
Both juice and grease, don't forget the grease
You're going to make Mike throw up!
I've been playing with L-systems, often used to generate fractals. Turns out it can be useful for generating waveforms and rhythms.
Here's a waveform generated from these axioms + harmonic quantization and a WAV generator. < 200 LoC in Lua
A = "AbABa"
a = "bAaBa"
B = "BaAbB"
b = "bAaBb"
Jerky Gun?
I've been messing around with a little Lua library for making generative art github.com/hryx/genpuin

It was super cool to see this announced, and it looks so cool! Another turn based-y beat em up.
Notable that @fourbitfriday.bsky.social of UFO50 fame is part of the team. (also go play Catacomb Kids on Steam!)

I'm pretty sure I don't know how to make a thread on Bluesky.
Here's an interpretation for the theorbo, or as my mom calls it, the "death lute" www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2mG...
Back to the Baroque, here's one of my favorites for harpsichord. I've always gravitated toward the low end of keyboards. (I know the performer of this one too!) www.youtube.com/watch?v=syB9...
Speaking of Saul, you might know this goosebumpy ditty from Better Call Saul. The tense minor seconds make me weepy ;_; Brahms was such a sad bastard www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYZ3...
When I heard this in college it gave me chills, especially that first bassy "Saul" www.youtube.com/watch?v=vTiM...
Ohio turnpike and Indiana toll road can eat my ass
Yep. Because somebody set up us the bomb.
Come by today if you're around! Contact me for location details.
I'll be hosting this!
Text reads: insertdisc5 “Dora has been an INCREDIBLE producer for In Stars and Time!!! Always organized and strategic, always helpful, always a pleasure to talk to. I could not have asked for a better producer, and In Stars and Time wouldn’t have had the same success without her!!!” Gummy Cat “Dora is one of the kindest, coolest, most organized and thoughtful producers I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I genuinely believe that without her fighting for us from the very first email pitch, Bear and Breakfast would not have existed.”

Dang, almost wish I'd held out for a slick cart version like this!
RIP Tom Lehrer. I loved his musical humor growing up.
