I was dabbling with an early BASIC dialect on an emulated DEC PDP-8 a week or so ago, dating from the early 1970s. It had a few quirks, such as a mandatory END statement, and IF statements could only end in a GOTO. It also listed all of the lines with errors when you attempted to run it.

Ah, according to their website they're still a pub, but one of the two bar areas is now their dining room. Perhaps the pub part has also improved. Unfortunately, that may result in their resident pub bore moving to another establishment.
RIP The Rough Pub. It's been converted into a Thai restaurant - it must have been recent as I'm sure it was still a pub when I walked by a couple of weekends ago.
