I hope he’s worthy of the meltdown he caused. I still don’t have much of a sense of him yet. But I definitely agree Canada needs an unapologetic leftist party leader, or we’re all just singing from the same hymnal.

I’ve been paying more attention to federal politics than I ever used to, for reasons I think are obvious. And this brand of politician is maybe the most egregious for coming on air and just trying to run out the clock with noncommittal nonsense. Only John Tory is better.
I like listening to Vassy Kapelos because, when a politician feeds her an obvious line, she subtly shames them for doing it, and then repeats her question with even more force. It must be a humbling experience, haha.
A total outage of TTC subway elevators today prompts me to look at station elevating services generally. The status is less than ideal. stevemunro.ca/2026/04/20/u... If riders cannot get to and from platforms, then the subway, for them, does not exist.
In Toronto, the police are being used to chill and intimidate any pro-Palestine events, film, or even fundraisers to help feed displaced Gazans. This is what happens when people intentionally conflate pro-Palestinian activism with “terror” or hate speech: www.thegrindmag.ca/cops-keep-sh...

This chart is scary as shit.
My guess is it’s the first one. I don’t know if Ontario PCs are going to throw their support behind Bradford. He’s sort of a blue Liberal. The person who ran his last campaign is a Liberal MPP now. I suspect there’s going to be someone from Ford Nation who announces, with Doug’s full endorsement.
Interesting to note I just heard Michael Ford and Anthony Furey announce they wouldn’t run for mayor this election on AM640, but both declined to support Brad Bradford when asked. At least for now.
What kind of pogrom is it when we won’t let the Palestinian football club into Canada? Polite, sassy, wacky, or other?
Ok, loop me in. I’m super susceptible to it 😂
That’s science, right?
I was also saying yesterday that the best anti-2026 Bradford election strategy is simply bringing up pre-2023 Bradford. Looks like you have receipts 👀
I’m convinced it’s barometric pressure or something. It always seems to coincide with different weather systems moving in or out.
And you’ve since joined the journalist ranks yourself! 🔥
Actually, I popped an Advil and now the skies are blue. Maybe I was causing the grey weather. Sorry, sorry.
These on-and-off storms and low, grey skies always give me a spliiiiiiting headache. You feel me? I’m struggling.
At least, if the RCMP Greenbelt investigation looks like it’s breaking a certain way, it would be handy to have a private jet to leave the country with.

This seems like a good idea Doug Ford will almost certainly scuttle just because he can: www.thestar.com/real-estate/...
Oh ffs. The term “antisemitism” may never recover from the past few years, it’s been so cynically abused for argument’s sake.
🤐
Does this one have a bed too?
Never mind, I don’t want to know 😖

Can’t remember if I said, but I loved this movie. If you haven’t seen it yet, it looks like you’ll have ample opportunity.

It costs the City of Ottawa $465/person each year to serve new low-density homes, over & above what it receives from property taxes/fees.
On the other hand, high-density infill such as apartment buildings pays for itself plus an extra $606/person each year.
Sprawl costs, infill saves. #UrbanTruth
