It's a decent game! Maybe it's not on par with Alundra, to compare 2D Playstation action-RPGs, but I'd say Brave Prove still deserved a Working Designs localization with nastier bosses and filthy jokes.

Me: Haw haw, people believe in conspiracy theories about a flat earth and ice walls and mudfloods!
Also Me: Data West WOULD have finished Bounty Arms if Hermie Hopperhead hadn't stolen away staff members!

You don't need to be a Psychic Detective to see that Data West can Brave Prove itself the superior company.
My favorite Phantasy Star III thing might be the section of the manual where the characters demonstrate all the ways you can destroy your game cartridge.

Hats off to the least-loved piece of the original Phantasy Star series. It had loads of potential, and it's still neat in a lot of ways!

A scene from the Two Crude Dudes prequel: One Crude Dude.
That's Venus Wars for you. The first time you see it you're all "eh, nice animation but the main character's a jerkoff" but then you keep thinking about it and going back to it until you're watching the giant tank scenes frame by frame and looking up how Denica Fairman was in that one Hitler sitcom.
This just needs Nester telling the heroes how great he is.

The true path is often lonesome.
Cover for the Spin Doctors' 1991 release Pocket Full of Kryptonite which, yes, I owned a copy, it rips.
The lead track of The Spin Doctor's 1991 release Pocket Full of Kryptonite is famously sung from the perspective of Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen. But I maintain that *every* song on the album is sung by Jimmy Olsen, and here's my evidence ...
Ruin Explorers! M.D. Geist! Meremanoid! Venus Wars! Fish Police!
I did the About Me: Anime thing even though they used the cover of the Ruin Explorers manga instead of the anime.
I demand the exact percentage of ankylosaurus replies. It could well have been 5.9 percent and a cadre of anti-ankylosaur extremists conspired to hide that by putting it in the "other" category.
I seriously thought this was a 3DO game at a glance.
It's not that bad. The bosses are pretty neat, and the levels get more interesting after some introductory blandness. I think it got a chilly reception from people who either expected Radiant Silvergun 2 or forgot how simple the Sega CD Silpheed was.
Yeah, and that wasn't too long after Sin and Punishment: Star Successor had gone on the Wii clearance racks. When that happened to a Nintendo-published game, you just KNEW it had under-performed.
Maybe! Seems like a legit cartridge goes for about a hundred online, but you never know what could pop up in real life.
There aren't too many cheap Treasure titles left for me to pick up, I'd say. Maybe Gaist Crusher God or that Dragon Drive game?
Here's an updated pic of my budget Treasure game collection. I'm up to twenty official, relatively inexpensive releases from one of my favorite developers, plus an Alien Soldier custom-made by @magictrashman.bsky.social in a bygone era.
How disappointing that Dads Against Crime is slop and not an obscure arcade beat-'em-up.
Also "Power without perception is spiritually useless and therefore of no true value" is a pretty great line for many occasions. Meetings, debates, the gym, first dates, etc.
I protest comparisons of this new Fist of the North Star's lousy dub to the Streamline dub of the 1986 movie. The movie dub is cheesy and takes many translation liberties but it has AMAZING performances, including James Avery (Uncle Phil! The Shredder!) as Boss Fang!

This has the same vibe as a TurboDuo or Sega CD game that had no localization budget and no time for multiple takes.
Ah, a naturally occurring Mario enemy.
My favorite parts of this are King Hippo being from Hippo, Hippo (like he's St. Augustine) and Mr. "Sandamn" being from AAAAAAA, AAAAA (aka Philadelphia).
If they promoted The Legend of Valkyrie even half as much internationally I'd be a happy clam.
I am normally not one to be cruel to strangers but when I see Druaga in those multi-game arcade cabinets at Costco or Target, I always make sure it's the game up and running for whoever tries the cabinet out next.
The correct answer is Gil & the Knight enemies from The Tower of Druaga. Their design is directly inspired by the Zeong from Gundam & Maximillian from The Black Hole movie, as mentioned by the game's creator Masanobu Endo in an old online Q&A session with 2ch users
another impeding EGG Console drop that might appeal to some of you non-computer folk: Psycho World (MSX2), the original and arguably best version of the game adapted for intl audiences on both Master System & Game Gear as Psychic World; out next week
seeing multiple reports of new dmca takedowns on cookie's bustle content. if you end up getting one it's not a huge deal just annoying, if you send an email to the address listed in the claim asking for a retraction you'll almost assuredly get it. here's a template you can use pastebin.com/KqTsg0Li
