Thanks I’ll download the sequel as I have enjoyed it. I thought it could continue but hadn’t checked.

Worst case it’ll make it no further than my TBR pile…I’ll watch for the updates but consider yourself indemnified

You might like it if you like:
Folkloric creatures
Old records
Intricate psychedelic stories
The idea of circular time
All shares much-appreciated.
I think that was a choice of my book subscription - however I came across it - as you say the writing is fantastic
You’ve reminded me how much I enjoyed The Yiddish Policemen’s Union although it’s been that long I can only remember I enjoyed it and not the plot. Also enjoyed another Michael Chabon about comic books…may pick them up again and refresh my memory
99p on kindle so I’ll give it a go at that price
They all sound good to me (count of Monte Cristo is the only one I’ve read)
That sounds intriguing - I’ll check it out
Oh and happy birthday to your dad…
Think it was recommended by www.strong-words.co.uk
Which is why I picked it up. Looks an interesting read - I hope your dad enjoys
I really enjoyed this - hope you do as well

Starting the night with a classic. If memory serves it is a short film so might fit another film in after
My copy arrived at the weekend so will pick this up soon - I’ve enjoyed his other books
An age since I read this - seem to recall I was satisfied with the conclusion but not as good as the first one

Steam train against the Paris skyline Title “the Paris express” by “Erma donoghue”
Young girl hanging from a cliff edge with a bird at the top. “The impossible thing” by “Belinda Bauer”
Shadowed figure walking towards a city “titanium noir” by “Nick harkaway”
Morning. Been distracted but finished “the impossible thing” & “the Paris express”. Both excellent, both taken from a true event and a story built around it. Starting “Titanium Noir” next
Extra long stay in London so another show - The Producers. I’ve seen Lee Evans in it a long time ago, and Peter Kay up in Manchester. Believe Richard Kind has started this week - always entertaining to see.
Tonight “project Hail Mary” at picture house central - looks to be popular & I hear good things
Thanks
Sounds interesting I might pick that one up
Aside from the fact I get vertigo I’m looking forward to it. I booked a photography course for the day. Was just weird it popping up as a place in this book
“The impossible Thing” book title and author “Belinda Bauer”. Sun-text “she’ll risk it all to steal”. A young girl hanging from a rope on a cliff with a bird at the top
Morning - I’m still on with “the impossible thing” by Belinda Bauer. A grain of truth to hang the story around, a coveted egg found at Bempton Cliffs. I’m due to go there in May, never knew people scaled the cliffs in search of eggs for collectors. Thoroughly recommended crime caper

Last week I discovered Josienne Clark which I enjoyed a lot…
Check out my report for Last.week at www.last.fm/user/simonan.... www.last.fm/user/simonan...
Getting things vaguely in focus (occasionally)
Just found it on Discogs for £15 on Discogs “near mint”. Will wait to see that, but happy at that price
I got there eventually and I did like - enough to look at the price of vinyl to buy. Think it must be due a repress as it’s quite expensive. I might start looking out in some 2nd hand stores.
