Even though steps have been taken to support carers, many who spoke to us still feel their situation hasn’t improved much.

Our single recommendation is for Scottish Government to recognise carers as equal partners in care. Not just in theory, but in everyday practice, with clear rights to information, meaningful involvement in care planning, and provided with necessary support.
