Chat, should I start a Tiktok channel dedicated to utilitymaxxing? I'd calling myself Concavular. "Take the hammer and smash your preferences bro."

Don’t let the first insane thing he wrote distract you from the second insane thing he wrote:

“I have also instructed our Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in International Waters that has paid a toll to Iran.”

The third insane thing is that he thinks we just got Khomeini…who died in 1989…

The 28th Virginia battle flag is a Confederate battle flag that belonged to the 28th Virginia Infantry Regiment. Captured by the 1st Minnesota Infantry Regiment at the Battle of Gettysburg, the flag was brought to Minnesota and exhibited at the state's capitol for several years before passing into the permanent collection of the Minnesota Historical Society after 1896 where it has remained since.

Happy Confederate Surrender Day from Minnesota where we still have your goddamn flag and we’re not giving it up.

There is a path. It’s the path that Michael Vick walked. He has worked with the Humane Society for the last 17 years to educate folk about animal cruelty. He says he’ll do that work for the rest of his life.

Call me when Louis or Kanye devotes even one weekend to making reparation.

But shall this crazed old man be tamely suffered to drag a whole ship’s company down to doom with him?

That speech, like this war, was dumb as hell.

In all seriousness... what did that achieve? what was the point of putting the president on TV, if he had nothing new to say? "Suck it up, it hasn't taken as long as Vietnam" is not as heartening as the White House seems to think.

Honestly, the great crisis of our society is the unwillingness of institutions to inflict consequences.

Impeach the president, fire the sex pests, expel cheating students, excommunicate an unrepentant heretic, prosecute the war criminals.

Believe in your institution enough to enforce its rules.

I am very humbled that the University has awarded me this professorship. I owe a great deal to my mentors, my colleagues, and the folks who submitted letters on my behalf. I also owe my spouse, @gracemakesmaps.bsky.social, a vacation for putting up with me---especially over the last year.

Wait…you all are leaving candy and shit!?!

I just eat the candy from the trap…mess it up a bit and leave a note from the leprechaun teasing them that he out smarted them again this year…somehow this has become the expectation in our house.

It’s not even about competition. Who knows who the next great team is. It’s that Minnesota should be in the same division as Milwaukee, Chicago and Cleveland.

OK, but it moves the Timberwolves to the east

Since MN contains the headwaters of the Mississippi, at any given moment it can be either/both East or West…in this case it should be considered East of the Mississippi along with Milwaukee, Chicago, and Cleveland.

Guy who made 800 million dollars selling a website named ToodleCo to Yahoo in 1996 and has done nothing since then but now has $100 billion: the concept of “human kindness” was invented by bolshevik psychologists in 1953, no one heard of that term until then

Remember how the entire world would freak out if Dems proposed like a slightly higher marginal income tax rate for upper brackets? Seems to me that sort of change could be accommodated by the economy very easily given what we're seeing today.

We are saddened by the passing of Nobel Laureate Christopher A. Sims. His pioneering contributions to the economics field and his long-standing ties to the University of Minnesota and the Minneapolis Fed leave a lasting mark on our community. #EconSky
