I feel similarly. I know it's impressive technically and I guess it's a stepping stone to provide assurance for a future moon landing. But it's a lot of money spent for relatively little return or benefit.

Maybe I'm being too doom and gloom, but I've found it really difficult to show any enthusiasm for the #Artemis II mission despite being a space and science enthusiast. I just feel that with everything going on in the world, a moon mission is somewhat hubristic to say the least.

Yeah it was a diabolical position from someone who wanted to appear tough on crime

Lewisham: London borough voters prepare to elect new mayor An executive mayor will be elected in Lewisham on Thursday after Damien Egan quit to run as an MP.

Elections in Lewisham remind me of this gem from a Tory candidate a few years ago promising to remove fencing from parks to improve safety saying "It's gonna bring so much more certainty to women and girls. If they have to run, they can run in any direction."

Tbh I was lucky. I found a good plumber and he put me in touch with a guy who basically manages everything. He's been good at sorting out all the various different contractors

@liamshrivastava.bsky.social hey Liam! Thanks for your leaflet. I was wondering if there's any public mayoral hustings for Lewisham before the May elections. I'd be keen to attend if there are.

None of it. We have professionals doing it for us. We had to raise the lintel above the door which is not a job for amateurs.

One year after our bathroom was finished, it's now time to rip out the kitchen. I can not wait to have a proper kitchen again, we've had to make do with a shell of a space for two years.

Some black and white shots taken on my Mamiya medium format using Ilford HP5 film featuring Seaford, the Seven Sisters, and the cliffs at Samphire Hoe in Kent.

Elizabeth Line and Overground deserve S-tier as they're just so damn good.
LNER and GWR have always provided excellent service in my view, so are absolutely A-tier. Most are just mid, and do an okay job. Heathrow Express is a pointless waste of cash. Grand Central and Avanti are pretty crap.

British train companies ranked (in my opinion). If there were an F-tier I'd put CrossCountry and its stinky carriages there.
