I’m in Southeastern PA. I think it might be illegal, but if it hitchhikes then… there is an arboretum nearby that only sells and grows native flowers. I just read the Silverspot is endangered. I hope you get a some!

Yes cat is a monarch caterpillar. lol. I’ve been getting rid of my lawn/expanding beds with native flowers. I had lots of native bees, skippers, and lightening bugs, but a lot fewer bigger butterflies/Monarchs. Your garden sounds wonderful!! Watching the migration sounds totally amazing!!!!

That is so awesome you have it!!! There are a lot of other pollinators that love Milkweed. Swamp milkweed smells amazing. Another monarch magnet is Rocky Mountain Blazing Star and Mexican Sunflower. Unfortunately I didn’t see many this summer. Only 1 cat. Last year I saw at least 20 cats.

I think this is the last one of the season. Hopefully just taking a break and fueling up on its journey south. My Milkweed is long gone.
