I’ve no idea why I’ve never seen this. Although I was pretty busy back in 2006 and didn’t watch much TV.
And so…a mere 20 years after everybody else…in I go….

Update: As of 10am on Monday 20th April, eBay UK seems to have levelled out at just over 8,600 #RSD2026 related items.
I didn’t participate RSD 2026 but noticed that by 1pm yesterday there were over 3,600 items listed on eBay here in the UK. By 9:30pm last night the total was 6,500+ and at 9am today it’s over 8000. Most are 3-4 times the purchase price and some way over that. Strange old game.

Is this fella on BBC News presenting a news report or playing an imaginary piano? I suspect it’s a bit of both…
It was over in seconds but it certainly does look wild in freeze frame mode.
Been a while since I posted any bird related snaps but I caught a couple of Goldfinches having a “square go” at the feeder today.
Splashdown!
The Divinyls. Self titled LP from 1990.
Just arrived from Germany. A slice of excellent power pop in great condition. I took a punt on this as I only knew one song but had a hunch it would be well worth owning…and it is!
Hard to find on vinyl at a decent price.
Not this time!
When you’re interested in buying a record but want to check exactly how much the shipping and tax will be, so you click to review the total cost and suddenly realise you’ve bought the bloody thing. Oh, and there’s a further £2.14 “smoke & mirrors” charge on top from PayPal. That.
Sorry to hear this Jules. Very tough. Lots of love to you fella.
Decided to brighten up my garden wall with a Banksy “Girl With Balloon” stencil and some urban graffiti spray paint. Turned out pretty well I reckon, given it was pretty windy. #Banksy #RuralGraffiti
Correct. I first heard Tennents being described as “Cooking Lager” by an Edinburgh based former member of OMD back in 1992 and have used the term ever since.
£15.20 for a gin & tonic and a pint of cooking lager in Edinburgh last night. Now I know there are far higher prices around the UK and indeed in the same city, over £20 in some cases, but thats me done with it. The piss is being well and truly taken and in some cases even served!
A decent quality Easter egg in a box 50% bigger than it needs to be. Gotta attempt to justify the £15 (reduced to £12 with loyalty card) price tag I suppose. Anyway, it’s gone.
Although the “wee baws” remain intact…for now.
Tonight’s gig (as a punter). I’m not a massive blues fan but a guitarist named Brian McFie, whose playing I really enjoy, is part of the band headlining. Ashamed to admit I haven’t seen him play live in around 35 years when he was with Airdrie’s finest, The Big Dish on their “Satellites” album tour.
Just been reminded that 31 years ago I made my “film debut”. My first ever scene was with Oliver Reed…and a hundred other “extras” in “The Bruce”. It was fun but the post filming pub session was even more entertaining with Ollie and Brian Blessed holding court in a local hotel.
I suspect all that is waiting at home for him is a single can of beans. ☹️
Simple. A fella left his house to buy bread and took a detour to the pub on his way home. Most pubs here have brass “bread hangers” below the bar…although some say they may actually be coat hooks! 😎
Should’ve probably added #PubLOAF !
Pub life. #PubLife #VisitScotland
Slim pickings in The Bridge Inn this afternoon so this’ll have to do. It’s half decent but I’d honestly prefer to drink pints that were fully decent.
52 years old today apparently. One of a bunch of cracking single releases by Mott The Hoople.

And suddenly I’m 7 years old again! #ArtemisII
Paid £24 for a Sunday Roast in a pub today. Not so long ago it was £16. The quality was considerably better back then. The main issue was the fatty, stringy beef. Seems that reducing the quality and hiking the price is the modern way for almost everything. Disappointing. 6.5/10.
This is *The Terminator* of ales. Full bodied, indestructible and very slightly synthetic tasting. Drink this and you can (probably) walk through walls and indeed high security jail cell doors. You may well melt into a pool of sludge…but you’ll be fine in a day or two. Maybe.
About 15 years ago, for reasons unknown, I stopped regularly watching movies both at home and in the cinema. Heard a lot about this one though so thought I’d give it a shot. Took about 15 minutes to properly tune in to it but it’s a damn good movie with an excellent cast. 🎬👍🎬
Interesting and unsettling. This could be Edinburgh…if things don’t calm down a bit. Other towns and cities also feature.

Ok, there are many worse things that could happen…but…y’know…
When you’re in bed loaded with the cold there’s nothing worse than being woken by the sound of your bin being blown over at 1:15am and decanting its contents all over the street and your neighbours’ gardens. Then you have to pull on some clothes, go outside and clear up the mess.
