Sorry – I haven't checked my bus-enthusiast instagram in a LONG time. I still love buses but it's something I've moved away from as I've had a lot more on. But happy to chat about buses!!

I was about to comment how out-of-context the quote was. It really feels like it was added so no one could call them racist...

‘They singled out non-white, foreign-born workers’: the restaurants raided by Britain’s version of ICE They’re not armed and they keep a relatively low profile. But the Home Office’s immigration compliance and enforcement officers have searched thousands of business in pursuit of illegal workers. Are t...

Immigration enforcement is far from new, but it has got worse under Labour. There's always a significant degree of racial profiling in raids, along with a routine failure to protect victims of exploitation and modern slavery, favouring Instesd to penalise them.

Before it opened when they were giving tours of it, I remember them explaining that the art was inspired by the station being placed where the edge of a glacier had been but I also remember thinking, "Okay but I still don't really get it...".

the Greens keep saying the kinds of things that people who vote Labour agree with and Labour keep calling it dangerous extremism, and I’m not sure you could plan a better voter alienation strategy

Is kibble not a word used in the UK? I've never had a pet here so never really thought about it...

I LOVE a supermarket!! But I also totally get why they're so overwhelming to people.

Okay, but I do think only an autistic person would list a supermarket as "their happy place". We're love or hate with supermarkets. Neurotypicals only occupy middle ground there. 😂

As a London musical theatre fan, the mincefluencers are a force to be reckoned with. There's people who have seen it 100+ times – my meagre 4 is nothing! But I'm glad to see the devoted fandom has come to America as well – it's totally deserved.

Yes, JD. Let’s ask them if they think a stay at home mom, avowed Christian, and widow of a veteran deserved to be shot in the face and left to bleed out in her own car after dropping her 6-year-old off at school, for the crime of looking out for her neighbors. Let’s ask everyone running for office.

This is what we call "Facebook weather" because it's too scared to go to London, for zero logical reason.

I decided to choose a random place in the UK I'd never been to to have my citizenship ceremony in 2021 and I picked Hull and I really loved it there! Up with Hull!

Yes, I love how Sadiq Khan is both painted as being simultaneously “too” pro-LGBT and as enacting Sharia Law and they never address the inherent conflict.

So we just accept this then? This is a legitimate use of technology going forward? This vile individual's account is just prompt after prompt asking Al to alter real-life images of women. The law needs to catch up with technology now - because we can't trust these tech companies to police themselves

For context I've lived here for 15 years, have lived and work all over the city (okay, admittedly MOSTLY north of the river, but still), had at one point ridden every bus in London, have walked the Capital Ring and most of the London LOOP – I know this city extremely well and it's all a lie!

Every day I get more and more livid with the narrative around London. I work with tourists, and they're taking ubers from destination to destination and have their phones strapped to their bodies. I LOVE this city and can count on one hand times I've felt unsafe here. I'm so tired of the bullshit.

Happy home-office-assigned birthday to all refugees who were disbelieved about their date of birth and un-safeguarded as one of the many experiences of state-sponsored xenophobic cruelty that is the asylum system in the U.K.

Let’s keep working for a just, restorative and eminently sensible system.

I am still visiting them and recording videos, I just got out of the habit of putting them up. We moved house in June which took up all my spare time for a few months and then I've been super busy with other stuff since... I'm hoping to start putting them up again soon!

People shouldn't send long voicenotes? Fuck that. I want to listen to your whole story. What I HATE is having to interrupt my podcast for a 10-second voicenote that the person could have easily typed.

But 15 minutes I can listen to while walking? More of that!!

Why would they write the whole article and not include a photo of the bus station??

One of the biggest drivers of high housing costs is that a small, highly motivated group of incumbent homeowners block new housing in their neighborhoods and almost no one is organized to push back.

Young people bear the brunt of that imbalance.

Be a housing fan.
