The states are spaced out enough to accommodate the changes in size but retain their general shapes and relative positions on the map. Members have 222 electoral votes, potential states have 68, and the unlikely states have 248. The compact would only activate once states with at least 270 electoral votes have joined. The seven potential members and their electoral vote are Alaska (3), Arizona (11), Michigan (15), Nevada (6), New Hampshire (4), Pennsylvania (19), and Wisconsin (10). I am lamentably certain that 90% of the reporting on this is going to say something like “some experts disputed the methodology used to calculate foreign tariffs” rather than “Trump made up a bunch of nonsense numbers to justify his policy, and they’re all 10x-20x higher than the real numbers.”

They love this “run the government like a business” canard coz it conjures images of efficiency and accountability.

The reality is, it’s about increasing profits for the few over the wellbeing of the many.

If the government operated the way a business does, the citizenry should rightfully revolt.

This guy is in one of the worst prisons in the world with no way out and may spend the rest of his life there because, it appears, he has an autism awareness tattoo in honor of his little brother.
