OH! If aesthetics are important you could get a mirrored sun lens it is meant to bounce the light off of the lens since it is reflective and they look cool but that addition is usually not covered by insurance and I’ve seen it add typically ~$100 to the price of the lens. And that is my lecture 😂

Plus if you can get insurance to work with you they’re going to be partially covered! If you’re sensitive indoors too you can get a tinted lens that will offer low light relief too. But there isn’t a transition lens from tinted to sun yet unfortunately so you would have to have 2 pairs

Sure! A polarized lens is best, it diminishes glare like sunlight bouncing off of the ocean or a car! The best color is gray since it’s the darkest most places offer but Oakley has a cool purple lens that’s just as dark. In general, their lenses are a little more expensive but really good for sun &

If you get an exam and even have a tiny tiny prescription it will be covered. When I worked at an optometry office I used to give ppl the Plano sun lenses AND their prescription lenses bc our lab sent us both but I think that is uncommon
