The 4 person crew took a moment to share a hug and tears before continuing with their mission. Such a beautiful hopeful joyful expression of grief and boundless exploration.

There was also a White House press conference at the same time about an unjust war.

I know what I will remember about today.

The first was to name a specific crater on the moon "Integrity" in honor of their ship. The second was to name a bright spot on the near/far side border "Carroll" in honor of his wife who passed away in 2020.

So today the crew of the Integrity broke the record for farthest humans from earth, previously set by Apollo 13. An act that doesn't erase the previous success but honors it's legacy. In the live broadcast of that moment Commander Reid Wiseman made two requests.

I miss writing so much.
