Wild violets mixed in with grass.
I love the way our lawn looks this time of year, covered in wild violets! Love the clover and dandelions, too. One of our neighbors has a solid green carpet of grass. I'm sure this drives him nuts. Hehehe

I’m sure we can add to this list….
An acrylic painting of two red adirondack chairs at the edge of a dock on a lake under an abstract sunset.

Not weeds, wild flowers
Dandelions
I don’t care if they’re weeds. I’m happy to see them.
Rehabilitation of the Dandelion!
No other plant in the Netherlands attracts as many bee species: 107. In early spring, when nothing else is blooming, it is simply there. Meadow bird chicks that have just hatched depend on the insects that are drawn to dandelions. No dandelion, no insect, no chick.

No matter which direction she turned it was the same obsessive loop. Over and over.

Doesn’t it frighten you—
how no one ever
seems real?
Watch them—
running
an internal script
on a loop.
Disturbed.
Distressed.
Disoriented.
And you can’t
deviate—
or flinch—
without startling them
out of their nightmare.

Up the garden path, round the bend, up the wall, and between pillar and post kept in the #loop. Exhausted and lost in trying to catch up, bending over backwards to keep in line and foot sore and empty handed left by the wayside despite the stepping up. All for the chance to settle down. #vss365

Not quite ready to return just yet, Daniel. A mere ripple in a puddle... for now 🌥🌷
😁Thank you, and likewise, my good friend ❤️😘🌷

Thank you so much, Daniel 😘❤️
Ah, thank you, Bethany! Lovely to hear from you. Thank you for reading me. Not sure how back I am just yet, but felt I needed to write for that little crab apple 😁😘❤️🌷
Small red crab apple dangles from branch, alone among a flurry of white spring blossom
Winter has come and gone

we are spun
miraculously uneaten by wood pigeon or squirrel
red as mars among a fragrance of white-petaled stars, we are
but still,

Strong early turnout in Hungary — looking good for the opposition party and bad for Orbán. 🇭🇺
One of my cartoons in Monday's Metro
Not even 6 in the morning, and Hungarians are already lining up to vote! Hopefully get rid of Orban and Russians once, and for all! #cdnpoli
In France, legislation came into effect recently for all car parks that have over 80 spaces to be covered with solar panels. Estimated to add around 11GW of renewable energy capacity to the national grid. Why not do likewise in Scotland? Braehead, Silverburn, Glasgow Fort etc.
Oh, yeah, that was the Obama Iran deal.
