Spotted a heron, Ardea cinerea, which was pretty cool
Mallards!
Took a couple of photos around the lake a few days ago! I'll show some more but I'll do it a few posts at a time. It's mostly birds!
Painting of a boar in a sweater with a mushroom basket, holding and smelling a mushroom.
Day 27 of #septempera - the connoisseur.
The rainy and dull but still very lush green in-between summer and autumn is pretty nice too I guess
Just noticed we have bookmarks now! Whooo!
I will use these so liberally. I can finally go back to using likes as likes again!
(In case it's somehow visible, don't mind me saving random stuff, it's for keeping my focus on what I want to see in my feeds and what to post about)
Update: I checked in on the potatoes and we have potatoes!
There was a baby Woodpecker (Picus viridis) in my backyard yesterday!
Late night summer walks
I'm not doing much this year in terms of growing things but at least I have my potatoes!
Baked some swedish teacakes (turned out nicely!) and did some work in the garden today
I went to capture moments from the demonstration in Stockholm yesterday to build experience in photojournalism. I still have a lot more to learn and forgetting the extra memory cards I put on the kitchen table didn't help
Lemon blondies! They're delicious
Walked home as the night turned to morning yesterday and got to enjoy this pretty scenery
In his element, frolicking like only a mollusk in the rain can
We have a huge amount of cherry trees in the backyard so I'm thinking I should try and make some sort of cherry syrup or jam this year. I really love cherry flavoured things so I don't know why I haven't thought of it before now
One of my bellpepper plants from last year is still going strong and is appreciating the spring sun
Some fancy looking moss and an isopod to test how the lens works on this phone. I still don't quite like the way it turns out
Impulse plants can't go wrong! What did you get?
My favourite time of the year is finally here again, spring!
Unfortunately that's just how it is on the internet, scammers will scam. Check out the AI labler/look at some of the big blocklists, that will at least get some of them hidden for you. There's probably an art feed or two that runs on lists rather than keywords that would help with that issue as well
Bluesky is also in a growthspurt period, that tends to attract a bunch of bots but I've noticed that they get removed fast compared to other sites so I have high hopes. Oh, you can also mute hashtags! So if you see AI hashtags or things tagged with something you're not interested in you can mute it!
I recommend just looking through a potential feed to see if it seems on topic before subscribing to it. There's usually a bunch for each thing you're interested in so pick the best one. You can also look into blocklists or the lablers to hide stuff like AI. Or make your own feed!
I can imagine that broad or popular feeds like art tend to be messy. Since feeds are run by individuals they can be less than well put together. If they just use keywords a lot can slink in or if it gets popular spammers take advantage of hashtags to get boosted. That's sadly the nature of the game.
Check out the feeds! That's where you'll find people. I recommend the Fiber Arts feed or the Crochet and Knitting feed but there's a bunch more for different things too
Knitting and crochet bluesky, I got this yarn two years ago because I wanted to get back into the habit of making things but I never got around to it. It's finally time I do something with it though, I'm just unsure what I could make with this small amount. Any ideas?
