Sea Of Thieves #accessibility win - our new Bilge Rats Weekender Challenge parchment hooks into our flexible Text-To-Speech and Custom-Text-Overlay system on launch day, April 16th! ✨
What part of gameplay would you like us to bring it to next?
accessibility options in Screamer to reduce sound effects that can cause tinnitus; includes a choice of frequency to start filtering from and a reduction gain.
this in more games please
Pssst! The amazing @cariwatterton.bsky.social and myself are speaking at #DevelopBrighton this year 🫡🦾
For Silent Hill 2 specifically, I was glad to see pretty in-depth customization settings for #accessibility -- which made it easier for me to set up controls reminder, show button inputs, resize text and more. As a neurodivergent player, I need as much info on the screen as possible at all times.

In the last month, I decided I would catch up on the Silent Hill games I haven't played: #SilentHill2 and #SilentHillF and wow. I rarely take the time anymore to just sit down and enjoy a single-player experience, letting myself be immersed in a world of both beauty and decay. Strongly recommend.
Epomaker sent us a Magcore 65 Lite to review. It proved a very interesting keyboard.
It showcases the accessibility potential of inductive switches, which allow for responsiveness and customization that traditional mechanical keyboards can't touch.

Ok this made me chuckle, haha
I'm on the last stretch of puzzles in ChromaGun 2, after which I'll share my complete thoughts in my fuill review.
But I can already say the team did a great job with the colorblind accessibility, and also the cognitive accessibility despite the deceptive difficulty of the game.
Just had to spend $700 on new computer parts, so if any publication wants me to write for them, I would VERY much like some work!
Hahaha it makes sense though if you think about it!
I think our country (Canada) would be better if sports bars showed curling (olympics or not) and if everyone there reacted as passionately as when we do during the NHL playoffs.
HYPE IT UP FAM 🥌🥌🥌
I would love to visit Dublin!
these games were genuinely so good!
Hello hello! For Access Granted, I'm looking to speak with disabled couples on how they play games. How do you and your partner(s) play with your disabilities? What games/accessibility tools are best for you and your partner(s)?
you got a what in your leg?

All-in-all, definitely give 'Burnt Offering' a watch. It deserves its flowers, and still falls under the radar of many film and horror enthusiasts. 🏚️
Cheers! #Horror #MovieReview
In the @letterboxd.social community, many affirm that 'Burnt Offerings' walked so 'The Shining' could run. Don't compare the two, though, because that wouldn't be fair (the latter is hard to top). But noticing the similarities and inspirations is a fun add-on to the watching experience.
No spoilers. Just some reasons why you should see it:
- Karen Black's acting in her slow-and-gaslit descent into madness & despair is something to witness
- The anxiety-inducing slow burn pace just... works
- Anthony James as a creepy chauffeur is *chef's kiss*
- Felt genuinely invested from A to Z

Heya, it's #HorrorRecommendation o'clock! 👻
Here's 'Burnt Offerings' (1976), featuring Karen Black, Oliver Reed, and Bette Davis (amongst others).
If you like Amityville, The Shining, Legend of Hell House or the ''malevolent/haunted house'' trope... you're in for a nice twisty treat. More below.

(meaning that when a company adopts approachability as an important mindset to have, a design-driver even, it makes sense that this can evolve into becoming aware of accessibility as a concept, and eventually dedicate time and resources towards it)
Given how King's mission has always been to make Candy Crush an approachable experience for ppl of all skills, age and backgrounds, it's no surprise that they've evolved into an accessibility-forward leader. While approachable doesn't always mean accessible, it can often be a nice gateway to it.
Especially interesting 'cause of how established Candy Crush is as an IP. First came out in 2012 as a Facebook flash game... then became a staple of mobile gaming. Then never stopped moving forward with updates, innovations and efforts keeping up with their audience AND competitors over the years.
Just stumbled upon this gem about the accessibility journey of #CandyCrushSaga! We don't often get insider perspectives from leadership, so I'm grateful that Abigail Rindo (Head of Creative @ King) took the time to have this chat. shout out @neilchughes.bsky.social

Congrats 🩵 it’s a testament to your dedication!
The best compliment we could have received this year!
What would have been unthinkable even 5 years ago, is now considered "standard" from us by our audience <3
There is still a ton of work to do to improve the #a11y of our games. Meanwhile, I'm going to savour this milestone over the break
