I have a question. Does PTO in this context stand for "paid time off" or "paid time on"?

Being a Rookanis fic, the fact that Lucanis likes 'em clever and I enjoy writing them that way definitely contributed to my own enjoyment.

I like building characters to fit the story, so Magpie was primarily a character built to play off Lucanis in an interesting way, while still recognizably being Rook.

This ended up being a character that is quite a bit different from me, but that I put many of my own fears and desires into.

Brook evolved from the narrative personality first on my 3rd play though then I mixed in a huge spoonful of Jessica Rabbit.

The only things we have in common are a love for Lucanis and we're both aspec- but that wasn't planned either, it just felt right for her.

Oh, I took one look at what was being said online after I played for a bit on release, and proceeded to entirely ignore anything outside of Ao3.

Or Neverwinter Nights, depending on who you ask.

That's an especially bizarre take on their part considering the way existing IP is so highly prized these days, for getting projects off the ground at all.

I love how there's a bit of a flow around the eyes that really draws the eye there even more than it would just with the contrast of the sclera. That's a really nice touch in addition to the beautiful composition!
