Borrowing the basic theme of your question, I got the soundtrack to STM after it came out, and I found the slower tracks "Leaving Home" and "Love Theme to SUPERMAN" to be incredibly boring. As an adult, those two tracks frequently move me to tears.

I love your take on this. SUPERMAN THE MOVIE is possibly my favorite movie, and that specific take on the two characters and their shared moment is wonderfully insightful. Also, I applaud your ability to reflect on yourself with such candor and grace!

Actually, I've held this exact same thought for the longest time that the X-Men's premise doesn't make sense in the context of the larger Marvel Universe. How exactly is the average person supposed to distinguish between mutants and non-mutants, especially without knowing them?
