Trying something new.. not sure what these should be! Already made a Hawaiian one, so which Central/S. American or N. American species would you like to see? These are small (quarter-ish) & can't handle detail like the stripes of a sparrow.. I say "they" but really mean me 🙃. Any ideas appreciated!

They don't reach sexual maturity until 3-4 years, but can live up to 20 years in the wild. If you get a chance, go listen to their vocalizations... they sound like frogs! These guys are also the national bird of Belize.

The Keel-billed Toucan is IUCN listed as near-threatened with declining numbers and their range is throughout Central America into northern portions of Venezuela and Colombia. Their main threats, unfortunately, are habitat loss and trapping for the illegal pet trade.
