You and me both !

You know that thing when you really love a band and see them many times and once fly half way round the world to watch them play a bar in St Kilda and then 25yrs later they buy your records?well yes exactly that. What a bloody lovely thing x
the juxtaposition of 'let's enjoy Paddington bear!' and 'let's deport human migrants to the Taliban!' is too perfect
Those nights are drawing in..Beautiful West Kirby sky
Out today. After a very nice chat in a pub and via a laptop with @derekwalmsley.bsky.social for @thequietus.com

The Sea Power record I love the most is the 'From the Sea to the Land Beyond' soundtrack, mostly because it's a cut & shut of all their back catalogue. So this wkend I finally discovered my favourite FTSTHLB track (The Guillemot Girls) is taken from this beauty :

Look what I found….
Always liked this a lot

Always liked that 5.22 artwork with the pool balls. the cd had a maximum price of £5.22
There was an interview at the time where Matt from the Ned's basically said they took the worst song they could find and trying to turn it into something semi listenable.
I have Ruby Trax and do exactly the same!
Florence and her machine, Mumford and Sons, most Math Rock for me.
I utterly utterly utterly HATE that record**
**this is why we run a record label and it works ;)
The genius that is @prolapseband.bsky.social
Such a brilliant band. And Scottish Mick is a Popty fan, bought the entire back catalogue!
Be sure to watch the brilliant Prolapse!
Not enough people talk about the fact that ESG invented a lot of indie music from the early 2000s 20 years before the early 2000s
isnt she! would totally go see her live.
If anyone is looking for some lovely new music to listen to then (it's a few years old) but I'm really enjoying Katy J Pearson's Return lp. it's just sublime.

Do many people use this place? Should i nip in here more? x
Really enjoyed @drfernriddell.bsky.social ‘s Channel 4 doc on the hidden love life of Queen Victoria. Fascinating stuff….
Given the complete lack of engagement we really should post more things we like on here. So here's Murder Club's new @poptypingrecds.bsky.social 7": popty-ping-records.bandcamp.com/album/ping00...
Had a brilliant time in Newport for the PING008 single launch. Heard murder club’s 4EVA yet ?
youtu.be/gqJ4ig6NqXw?...
Did you hear both sides of PING008 from Murder Club get their first radio play over the weekend? Well here's the video to 4EVA. Play loud and sing along here :
www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqJ4...
So.....if you're keen to listen to PING008 (we god we hope you are, it's so so so catchy) then theres a music streaming pre save link here for all your preferred streaming options :
orcd.co/cavein-4eva
So then...we're releasing a new single from Murder Club. They're bloody great. this is their last release Shots. We wanted to put it out. It's bloody great. Imagine Voice of the Beehive meets the Go-Gos meets Le Tigre.
Play loud and plan your friday night out here

Now would be a brilliant time to buy our records. They're all welsh artists, all their 1st releases. All pretty bloody brilliant. Some of those bands have gone onto much larger things, so less so. We're dead proud of them all. Treat yourself for record store day here

Can’t believe you’ve not dedicated one to Dorton and Stuart yet….
There’s a very healthy set of Popty artists at @focuswales.bsky.social this year with Mowbird, @campfiresocial.bsky.social and @redtelephone.bsky.social all appearing across the weekend xx
Newport! Have we got a gig for you on May 3rd….
