Hotel room record player.

Hotel room record player.

I’m in Bath for a Basic Income thing, and the University put me up in what may be the swankiest hotel I have ever been in. My room has a record player.

“Eastbourne, near Beachy Head in Sussex, is best known for the white cliffs of Dover and the Seven Sisters walk that passes nearby.” Keep trying, Daily Express.

Clear-ish night in #Seaford and my solar (should I say ‘lunar’) system is generating a trickle of power.

This is Skadi. We had a lodger for a bit and (long story short) when she moved out, her cat stayed. Likes: mice, sleeping, ear scratches. Dislikes: small children, large crowds, humans shuffling while she sits on them.

What’s with all the carbs people! The best snacks are protein based. Start with Pepperami and work your way up to something better. Something odd and Italian or Polish from Lidl. Nuts, cheese, pumpkin seeds.

Last of the summer sun? Lovely evening run (and dip in the sea) with my neighbour David. Wish I had my camera as Seaford Bay looking especially lovely. strava.app.link/7XKz8z3xLDb

If is true of many, mainly older, branded foods. There are dozens of formulations of Nescafé, for example. McDonalds is the same everywhere.

Slightly belated ‘hello’ from me on BlueSky. I tweet public law, local (Seaford) politics, higher education and bore anyone that will listen with my running/cycling. Do introduce me to anyone who might be interested.

Absolutely exhausted after first week of term, which was also a week of Council business. Is it just me?

I have been spending a few days in Perthshire, going over my Mum’s effects, and helping brother and sister to clear out her house. Honestly not sure what I am feeling, but happy to be heading to Glasgow Airport on way home. Dad’s socket set might raise eyebrows at security.

Wednesday evening, and I am learning about issues in golf course management with my fellow Seaford Town Councillors. Enjoyed talking to the really knowledgeable team at The View as well as driving a golf cart past the most spectacular views in the South of England. #Seaford #publicadministration
